Sleep more deeply even when insomnia and sleep apnea are both in the mix.

When insomnia and sleep-related breathing disruption interact, treating only one often leaves people stuck in “Why am I still waking up?” territory.

From Snore to Score is a self-paced educational course that helps you understand the full system: sleep drive, circadian timing, arousal, and breathing-related sleep fragmentation, so you can make practical, informed changes without panic or guesswork.

This is education, not therapy or medical care. It’s designed to help you feel less confused, less alarmed, and more capable, whether you’re starting treatment, troubleshooting PAP, or trying to make sense of persistent awakenings.

The Essentials You’ll Understand

By the end of the course, you’ll be clear on:

  • How insomnia and breathing-related sleep disruption can reinforce each other, and why that can create unpredictable nights and “what just happened?” awakenings.

  • How sleep drive, circadian rhythm, and the arousal system actually work, including why “exhausted” can still show up as “tired but wired.”

  • What to do during a 2 a.m. awakening, simple steps that calm the system and reduce sleep effort instead of escalating it.

What You’ll Learn:

➡️ The Insomnia-Apnea Connection

Understand the interaction between insomnia symptoms and breathing-related sleep fragmentation, including micro-arousals and the “I slept, but I don’t feel like I slept” experience. We connect the dots so your nights make sense.

➡️ Sleep Demystified

Clear, practical sleep science, no jargon, no shame. You’ll learn how sleep drive, circadian timing, and arousal sensitivity shape insomnia patterns, and why effort often backfires at night.

➡️ PAP Without the Frustration

PAP can be life-changing and also irritating. We cover common comfort barriers (mask fit, leaks, dryness, pressure intolerance, mouth leaks) and provide simple troubleshooting steps to make PAP more comfortable.

➡️ The After-Hours Mind

Skills to reduce the “oh no, I’m awake again” spiral, loosen the struggle with sleep, and build a calmer response to wake-ups. This is not a sleep hygiene checklist.

➡️ Your Personalized Sleep Playbook

You’ll put everything into a realistic plan tailored to your nights, so you’re not trying 20 random strategies and hoping one sticks.

What This Course Gives You

This course isn’t about becoming a “perfect sleeper.”
It’s about getting a clear framework so you can respond to your nights with skill instead of fear.

Course goals:

✅ more accurate expectations about awakenings and lighter sleep

✅ decrease sleep effort and nighttime spiraling

✅ clearer “if/then” plan for wake-ups

✅ confidence troubleshooting PAP comfort barriers

✅ alignment between what’s happening at night and what to do next

Meet Your Course Creator and Facilitator

Therapist-led program teaching proven tools to improve sleep, energy, and mental health.

Hi, I’m Veronica.

I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 30 years, and I also know this terrain personally. I lived with chronic insomnia for years, and I’ve been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. I use PAP therapy and understand the learning curve and the frustration firsthand.

That personal experience, combined with my clinical training, shapes the way I teach: practical, compassionate, and grounded in science.

My work is informed by advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), including:

  • Stanford Sleep Health & Insomnia Program (SHIP).

  • Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania — Advanced CBT-I Training.

  • University of Arizona College of Medicine — CBT-I Training.

I also participate in ongoing professional consultations to stay aligned with the latest research and best practices in insomnia.

My goal is simple: help tired people stop feeling lost in their own nights and start working with their sleep system again.

The Program Modules

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Sleep + apnea explained without the boring doctor-speak. You’ll see why insomnia and sleep apnea often gang up on you.

  • Decode sleep cycles, discover your chronotype, and finally get why “8 hours” isn’t one-size-fits-all.

  • Learn how to fit, fix, and finally get comfortable with your machine, plus explore alternatives if PAP isn’t the right fit.

  • Racing thoughts. ‘Oh no, I’m awake again’ loops. Here’s how we interrupt the spiral with CBT-I + ACT skills that actually stick.

Educational program led by a licensed therapist (educational role; not therapy).

Why This Course Exists

A lot of people with insomnia + breathing-related sleep disruption fall into an information gap:

  • Insomnia advice that ignores breathing-related sleep fragmentation.

  • Apnea treatment that doesn’t address the arousal system, conditioned wakefulness, or sleep effort.

  • Confusing headlines that blur sleep deprivation, insomnia, and fatigue into one scary story.

This course is designed to reduce confusion and fear, clarify what’s actually happening at night, and give you a realistic framework for next steps.

This Course Is For You If …

  • You have insomnia symptoms and suspected or diagnosed sleep apnea / breathing-related sleep disruption.

  • You’re using PAP, but sleep still feels fragmented or unrefreshing.

  • You feel overwhelmed by conflicting advice and want a coherent plan.

  • You prefer to understand the “why” before changing the “what.”

And if you’ve tried lots of things already, you’re not behind. You’re not broken. You may simply be missing an integrated framework that accounts for both systems.

Still Got Questions?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • No. This is an educational course. It does not diagnose, treat, or replace therapy or medical care.

  • PAP means Positive Airway Pressure and is the umbrella term. CPAP is one type. You may also hear APAP (auto-adjusting) or BiLevel/BiPAP (two pressure settings). People often say “CPAP” as shorthand even when the device is another PAP type.

  • No. The course is helpful if you’re using PAP, considering it, or trying to understand persistent awakenings and sleep fragmentation patterns. If you have symptoms of sleep-disordered breathing, medical evaluation is important.

  • No. Sleep hygiene can support sleep quality, but it does not treat insomnia patterns. This course focuses on sleep mechanisms, arousal patterns, and behavioral tools (CBT-I/ACT-informed), as well as breathing-related sleep education.

  • Deep Rest is self-paced, so you can move at your own speed. Hybrid and Live options include recordings/resources when available.

  • Lifetime access, including future updates.

You don’t need more hacks. You need a framework.

If insomnia and sleep apnea are both part of your story, this course helps you understand how the pieces fit together, so your next steps feel calmer, clearer, and more workable. Whether you’re battling insomnia, PAP frustrations, or both, your body has been begging for real, restorative sleep.
